Setting up for the Bash takes about three hours.

Goal: sell a Boxer Rescue t-shirt to every man, woman, and child on the planet.

Let's hear it for the Girl Scouts! They come out every year to help at the Bash.

Our first customers - woo hoo! Scooby (a GABR adoptee formerly known as Adam) is ready and rarin' to go.

One of our favorite people! Charlotte Gotz, as seen on Animal Planet's "Breed All About It" program, is a wonderful speaker. Charlotte is visually impaired and all of her service dogs have been female Boxers. Charlotte has worked very hard to have legislation passed to protect service dogs (one of her former guide dogs was viciously attacked by another dog).

Let it be said: Phil Karpowitz can rock a mike. He and his expectant wife Jesse did a great job with the door prizes and other announcements.

The coolest thing about the Bash: it's a chance to get together with your peeps.

We'd know that butt anywhere. Griffin was featured on the back of our 2007 calendar! We are assuming that his adoptive family will buy 10,000 copies.

Good ol' Smokey. In his former life he was a chronic runner. He's not sayin' he wouldn't take a tour of Appleton (his new hometown) if given a chance, but he prefers to snuggle with his mommy, Mary.

The coolest thing about the lure course: watching the other dogs lose their minds as they wait for their chance to run.

Must . . . run . . . lure . . . course . . . now!

Becky and Charlie entered the "Best Kiss Contest." As one of our volunteers noted, "What happened between Charlie and Becky is illegal in several states."

Sweet, sweet Gizzy came into rescue in a completely emaciated condition. Much to our surprise, she promptly gave birth. One puppy was stillborn and the other was later adopted. Gizzy was adopted into a loving home, but she soon developed some paralysis in her hind legs. Not ones to shy away from a challenge, her mom and dad bought her a doggie cart. There is no limit to what they will do to help their Gizzy girl. And if that doesn't make you cry, what will?

GABR adoptee Stella (formerly known as Tiffany) would get up but well, you know . . . a girl needs her rest.

We were so happy that the Boston Terrier Rescue folks could join us. Wanna hear a secret? Shhhhh. Most Boxer people secretly LOVE Boston Terriers.

The Black and Tan Coonhounds gained a lot of fans while at the Bash! Is that a handsome mug or what?

Sweet Nettie continues to wait patiently for a home. Volunteer Tina makes sure that Nettie doesn't have to do anything strenuous - like walking on her own legs.
